Fiberglass Cloth: Outer Lining

Construction

  • Fiberglass base fabric that has been impregnated with a specially formulated silicone rubber compound for extended life

  • Silicone coating is rated 500˚F on a continuous basis

  • The cloth is designed for preparing high temperature removable pads, flange and valve covers.

 

Benefits

  • The fabric is impregnated with a high temperature, flame retardant, silicone rubber which provides greater life and improved resistance to abrasion, flexing, tear and puncture.

  • Provides greater oil and water resistance than uncoated fabrics

  • Silicone cloth is an excellent moisture barrier, making it a staple of the outdoor insulation industry

  • The outer layer of ERS Wrap is a silicone/fiberglass cloth. ​

Construction

  • Provides reliable performance at temperatures up to 1,200˚F

  • There are no binders in Tempmat. Instead, long textile fibers have been accurately chopped to provide maximum density, high insulation and strong physical properties 

  • TempMat is a mechanically bonded glass fiber insulating blanket of uniform density

  • We typically use 1/2" tempmat but ERS Wrap is also available in 1/4” and 1” thicknesses

  • Tempmat is non-corrosive, non-combustible, non-alkaline and chemically stable

  • Tempmat offers excellent heat resistance, flexibility and low thermal conductivity

  • The KEVLAR® thread is incredibly strong and flame resistant (up to 427°C)

  • Ideal for sewing silicone, teflon, and other fiberglass fabrics
